Morning prayers

ʾAṣbaḥnā ʿalā fiṭratil-Islām, wa ʿalā kalimatil-ikhlāṣ, wa ʿalā dīni nabiyyinā Muḥammad (ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam), wa ʿalā millati abīnā Ibrāhīm, ḥanīfan musliman wa mā kāna mina al-mushrikīn.

Translation

"We have entered the morning upon the natural way of Islam, the word of sincerity, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the way of our father Abrahim (peace be upon him), who was upright, submissive to Allah, and was not among the polytheists." .

أَصْبَحْنا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ، وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَنِيفاً مُسْلِماً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشرِكِينَ۔

Subḥān-Allāhi wa bi-ḥamdi-hi.

Translation

"I declare the purity of Allah along with His praise." (Recite this 100 times.) .

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ۔

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū, lahū al-mulku wa lahū al-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr. (ʿAshra marātin aw marraẗan wāḥidatan ʿinda al-kasal.)

Translation

"There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is One, He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things." (Recite it ten times or once in times of laziness.) .

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَاّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ۔ (عشرَ مرَّات أَوْ مرَّةً واحدةً عندَ الكَسَلِ)

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū, lahū al-mulku wa lahū al-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr. (Miʾata marrah idhā aṣbaḥa.)

Translation

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَاّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ۔ (مائةَ مرَّةٍ إذا أصبحَ)

Subḥān-Allāhi wa bi-ḥamdi-hi: ʿadada khalqi-hi, wa riḍā nafsihi, wa zinata ʿarshi-hi, wa midāda kalimāti-hi. (Thalātha marātin idhā aṣbaḥa.)

Translation

"I declare the purity of Allah along with His praises, equal to the number of His creation, equal to His own pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne, and equal to the ink of His words." (This supplication should be recited three times in the morning.) .

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ: عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ۔

Astaghfirullāha wa Atūbu Ilayh. (It is recited 100 times daily)

Translation

"I seek forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance." (This supplication is to be recited 100 times a day.) .

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ۔ (مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فِي الْيَوْمِ)

**Allāhumma innī aṣbaḥtu ush-hiduka, wa ush-hidu ḥamalata ʿarshika, wa malāʾikatika, wa jamīʿa khalqika, anna-ka anta Allāhu lā ilāha illā anta waḥdaka lā sharīka laka, wa anna Muḥammadan ʿabduka wa rasūluka.**

Translation

"O Allah! Indeed, I have entered the morning in a state where I call You to witness, along with the carriers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all of Your creation, that You are Allah, there is no deity except You, You are One, without any partner, and indeed Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is Your servant and Messenger." .

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ أُشْهِدُكَ، وَأُشْهِدُ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ، وَمَلَائِكَتِكَ، وَجَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ، أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَاّ أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ۔
