Learn How To Pray Salah
Step: 1
Intention to Pray
Before beginning your Salah, it is necessary to make the intention of Salah, the intention from the heart to pray to none other than Allah, and your entire focus should be toward Salah.
Step: 2
Raise your to your ears for Takbir
The moment you raised your hands to your ears sat "Allahu Akbar"
which means Allah is the greatest. This is the remainder for every
muslim that Allah is greater than everything in existance.
Step: 3
Place your hands over your naval
After saying the Takbir place your hands over the naval in a way that
your right hand should be placed over your left hand
Step: 4
Recite Sana and Surah-Al-fatiha with minimum three small Ayats or one long ayat from the Quran
- After placing your hands recite
- "Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk"
- translation "Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You"
- Now after reciting this dua recite the first chapter(Al-Fatiha) of Quran
- Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem"translation: "In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
- Alhamdu lillaahi Rabbil ‘aalameentranslation: "All praise is for Allah—Lord of all worlds, "
- Ar-Rahmaanir-Raheem translation "the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,"
- Maaliki Yawmid-Deen translation "Master of the Day of Judgment."
- Iyyaaka na’budu wa lyyaaka nasta’eentranslation "You ˹alone˺ we worship and You ˹alone˺ we ask for help."
- Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqeem translation "Guide us along the Straight Path,"
- Siraatal-lazeena an’amta ‘alaihim ghayril-maghdoobi ‘alaihim wa lad-daaalleen"translation "the Path of those You have blessed—not those You are displeased with, or those who are astray."
Step: 5
Ruku (Bow Down)
After the recitation say "Allahu Akbar" and bow down make sure your
hands are in the knees and your back is straight and in that position
say "Subhanna rabbeey al-Azim" three times which tranlates as
"Glory be to my Lord the Most Great"
Step: 6
Return To The Standing Position Also known as (Qoma)
After the Ruku tasbeeh say "Sami Allahu liman hamidah" means "Allah
hears the one who praises Him" and return back to the standing position
and while standing say "Rabbana wa lakal hamd" means "O our Lord,
all the praises are for You
Step: 7
Go to Prostration also known as (Sujud)
After that say Allahu Akbar and go to Sujud. now in Sujud say
Subhana Rabbiyal A'la three times which means "Glory be to my
Lord, the Most High"
Step: 8
Rise up from Sujud to sit for a moment also knows as (jalsa)
After that say Allahu Akbar and rise up from Sujud to sit for a moment"
Step: 9
Go to second Sujud
After that say Allahu Akbar and go to Sujud and repeat the same
tasbeeh as the first Sujud "
Step: 10
Rise up to from sujud to sit also known as (Tashah Hud)
After that say Allahu Akbar and rise up from Sujud to sit (Tashah Hud)
if it is second or fourth rakat or it is the third rakat of Maghrib,
Now
both of your hand should be on your knees and say"At Tahiyyaatu
lilaahi was Salawaatu wat tayibaatu Assalaamu ‘alaika ayyuhan
nabiyyu wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakaatuh Assalaamu ‘alaynaa
wa ‘alaa ‘ebaadillaahis saaliheen,
Ash hadu allaa ilaha illa Allah Wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan
‘abduhuu wa rasuuluh" which means "All compliments, prayers and
pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the
mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us, and on the right-
eous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that none has the right to be wor-
shipped except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger"
Step: 11
Continue to sit also known as (Tashah Hud)
Now if it is second rakat you will say "Allahu Akbar" and stand up otherwise if it is 3rd of maghrib or fourth rakat of any other prayer you will say Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammad Kamaa salayta ‘ala Ibraaheem wa ‘ala aali Ibrahim Innaka Hameedun Majeed, ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammad Kamaa baarakta ‘ala Ibraaheem wa ‘ala aali Ibrahim Innaka Hameedun Majeed which means "O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family (or followers) of Muhammad, Just as You sent prayers upon Ibrahim and the family (or followers) of Ibrahim, O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family (or followers) of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family (or followers) of Ibraaheem" after that you will recite this dua Rabbij'alni muqimas-salati wa min zurriyyati Rabbana wataqabbal du'a Rabbanagh-firli waliwalidayya walil-mu minina yawma yaqoomul-hisabwhich means "O My Lord! Make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from the descendants. our lord and accept my supplication, Our Lord forgive me and my parents and the believers the day the account is established"
Step: 12
Tasleem
After reciting the second part of the tashahud, you will say the “tasleem”.
Tasleem is to first look to your right shoulder and say Assalamu Alikum
Warah Matullah means "Peace be upon you and God's mercy" and than
look to your left shoulder and say Assalamu Alikum Warah Matullah
